A quick trip to the bay

For my birthday, Julian and I decided to take a drive to Bodega Bay this past saturday. We were hoping for some tidepools but had no luck finding any. We did have a good time...just being near the ocean is good enough for me..

I took the studio muslin and one of the photo lights home from work on friday. Brit came over and we had a night of photography fun! I took over 300 pictures of her and got some GREAT shots. Some of my pictures have bad hot spots from the light on her face but oh well....Im still learning! Ash you wanted to see pics....here ya go!

Wedding Dress

So, because my Fiance doesnt know I have a blog..I fugured it would be safe to post pictures of me in my wedding dress! In total I probably tried on about 15 dresses and all the styles I really liked just didnt do anything for me. I decided to try on a dress that was opposite of what I (thought) I wanted. Turns out....it was THE dress!

Also pictured is my cousin Nicole modeling the bridesmaid dresses. The color looks dark but its not...its kind of a soft steel blue? lol I cant describe it better than that...

Out of respect for Julian's church and family, Ive decided I will wear a removable halter strap for the ceremony. My moms good friend is a seamstress and will be making it for me :) So..the pic below is what it will kinda look like..

Mini Vent Session..

This past weekend my cousin Nicole came to visit and to join my mom, Julian and myself at the big bridal show at Cal Expo on Sunday. It was PACKED....but I did get some good brochures for vender's I still need. Anywho..

After the Expo I had Nicole snap a few pictures of Julian and I in hopes of a good pic for our Save-The-Date cards. We ended up with a mess of silly pictures...but there were a few good ones that I really really liked.

Yesterday at work I was flipping through them on my computer so I could email one to my mom when a co-worker asked what they were for/from. I explained that they were maybe going on my save the date card for my wedding. He then...WITHOUT me asking...gave his opinion. Which of course, was negative....saying it looked like a "tangled mess of arms and legs" and "you look awkward and your arm doesnt look like it belongs to you" WOW...really? Thanks....

He was DEAD serious too. Why is it that people feel the need to tell me negative things? I realize that maybe he didnt mean to be rude but I dont care....it WAS rude. It would have maybe been different if I asked for his opinion. Ive heard some pretty negative things since Ive been engaged and it blows. Please someone tell me this is normal? Ugh..
